Frequently Asked Questions

We would love to speak individually with each and every person who applies for employment here and to give personal attention to each applicant, but because of the high volume of applications that we receive, we aren't always able to contact everyone personally. So, to help keep you informed, we've gathered our most frequently asked questions so that you can easily find the answers you need.

return to topHow will I know you received my online application??

Applicants who provide a valid email address immediately receive an automated response confirming that we received the application. You will also receive additional correspondence from us regarding the status of your application at that address. Be sure to check your junk mail/spam folder, as some email systems may block our messages.

return to topWhen will it be reviewed? When will I hear from you?

We make every effort to review all applications within two days after we receive them. For positions that bring in a higher volume of applications, such as entry-level or clerical, we are committed to reviewing them within one week of receipt. If you are among those candidates selected for an interview, you'll hear from us shortly, either by phone, email or both. If you are not selected for an interview, you'll be notified by either email or mail. Our response may be delayed if the position for which you applied has been filled but you are still under consideration for other possible positions.

return to topHow can I check the status of my application?

You can check the status of your application online. Just login to your account and then select “history.” You'll be able to see which positions you've applied for and the status of each application. An email address is not required to check the status of your application.

return to topHow long will my application remain active?

Six months from the date you submit your application.

return to topWill you automatically consider me for positions other than the one that I applied for?

If your qualifications appear to be a match for another open position, we'll make every effort to give your application consideration. However, to make sure that you are considered for all positions in which you are interested, you should submit an application for each position. For example, if you're interested in both the Food Service Worker position and the Environmental Services Aide position you should submit an application for both. However, if you are interested in Food Service Worker and there are several of those positions posted, you need not file a separate application for each opening.

return to topIf I previously completed an online application and want to apply again, do I have to complete another?

No. You can access your completed application and update it to apply again.

return to topI have a current resumé. How should I submit it?

You can cut-and-paste it into your online application. We are not able to accept hard copy résumés.

return to topWhat if I don't see a position I'm interested in posted online?

We only accept applications for currently posted positions. The job postings on our website are updated twice weekly, so please check back often. You can also sign up for CareerMail, an automated service that will notify you when a position of interest to you is posted on our website.

return to topWhat if I forget my ID and password?

Please write it down when you submit your application and keep it in a safe place. If you are unable to remember it, call Human Resources at 863.687.1205 and our representative will assist you.

return to topWhat should I expect at the pre-employment physical?

Applicants who accept a provisional offer of employment must schedule a pre-employment physical. It will be conducted in Employee Health and will require a minimum of two visits. Please bring with you:

  • Two forms of ID, one of which must be a state-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license
  • Immunization records and TB Skin Test (PPD)
  • Chest x-ray reports (if taken within one year)
  • Medical records related to any current or past conditions

Minors should also bring a notarized Parental Consent and Release for Pre-Employment Screening and Testing form. If you have additional questions about the pre-employment physical, please contact Employee Health Services at 863.687.1138.
